Seriously. I know, right? Most of you may know that we adore our Swedish friends of the folk variety. So when Cameron of Carbellion asked if we would be up for an acoustic set of the Gothenburg metal band… we said… heck yes.

“Whitney Mann is the best kept secret in Wisconsin. She’s raw, she’s real. Whitney sings and writes from the heart, you can’t ask for more than that in a musician.”
– John T Selman, Production Manager, Willie Nelson and Family
We’re super pleased to present two prime performers in one evening for an eclectic (more than our usual) evening of music. Damn good music. For real.
Emily White is a songstress out of Chicago and a Paradigm favorite. She sings of love and loss and the other stuff in between that gets ya’ll good and contemplative and good again. www.emily-white.com
Her set will start promptly at 8pm.
This will be Caravan of Thieves first Paradigm show… I’m pretty sure we’re going to love them. Seriously. www.caravanofthieves.com
Their set will start at 9:30.

Paradigm is excited to welcome Heather Styka to the stage this Saturday night @ 8pm!
Heather’s unique delivery combines the influences of a fragile Irish air, the warm effervescence of upbeat Americana, soulful country and mournful blues. Her voice ensures these songs hit that place in your chest where emotions reside. -Tim Carroll, FolkWords (folkwords.com, UK)
…Inspiring…truly a breath of fresh air. – Henry Hallett, KXCI-FM (Tuscon, AZ)
Kate, the Bloody Marys are on me next time (I promise that I’ll remember my wallet)!
Happy Birthday!

We didn’t think we could pack anymore awesome into the weekend but boy did we!! SUNDAY AFTERNOON SHOW!! 2pm!! (drum roll)Brad Hoshaw and Midwest Dilemma!!! Spread the word, yo! This’ll be the best weekend you’ll have before stuffing your face with turkey… and stuffing? PUNS! Here’s the new lineup:
So get here early for some awesome drinks and good eats… not to mention, you’re going to want good seats! (Totally didn’t mean to make that rhyme, but because it does… it’ll be easier for you to use as your affirmation for the week)
-The Paradigm Crew
Brown Bird is better listened to in a room made of wood. Of course, it is easy to download the code and listen to the band on small computer speakers, but what is the point? You miss the warm layers of guitar, banjo, violin, double bass, cello, and bass drum (wooden rim) which hangs thick over their latest full-length effort, “Salt for Salt”.

Next week Saturday, September 24th, Paradigm will be hosting 100 Thousand Poets for Change starting with Open Mic Poetry @ 4:30pm! Check out the poster for more event details.
Just in case it might have slipped your mind, (though we don’t really know how it could have) tomorrow is St. Claire Avenue’s first annual OKTOBERFEST, starting at 11:30am! We’ll be out there roasting corn and having a jolly ole’ time! Don’t miss it!
-Paradigm Crew

Our friends at the 8th Street Ale Haus, with some help from the Paradigm crew and Goodside Grocery, will be hosting the first Saint Claire Ave. OktoberFest block party in Sheboygan history… at least, we’re pretty sure it’s the first!
Come down to St. Claire Ave on Saturday, September 17th for great beer, food and of course, polka… no seriously! The Paradigm crew will be roasting up corn and the Ale Haus will be serving brats, kraut and burgers! The party starts at 11:30am with The Jerry Schneider Band, Water Street Hot Shots @ 4pm and Icarus Drifting @ 7:30pm!
See you there!
